In 2015, Team Rotary raised over $40,000 at Building Adventure – funding 20 scholarships for youth from the West Chester Area School District and surrounding areas to go on a 7-day expedition in the Delaware Water Gap this August (2016).

On October 21, 2016, a Team of brave Rotarians will take to the skies in a 29-story rappel fundraiser to benefit the Philadelphia Outward Bound School (POBS) so that deserving students have the opportunity to participate in life-changing Outward Bound Courses. POBS provides outdoor experiential education programming that develops future leaders with a focus on compassion, service and the environment.  Participants learn that there is more in them than they thought and emerge equipped with tools and experiences that help them change their classrooms and communities for the better. We challenge YOU to join Team Rotary and make it possible for a student in your area to go on course!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Accept the challenge!  You or someone from your Rotary Club decides to rappel on behalf of your club.
  2. Visit and join Team Rotary.
  3. Click the “Register” button and follow the registration prompts to register and set up your personalized fundraising page.
  4. Add a meaningful photo and content about your effort.  Include content like: your relationship with Rotary, what is motivating you to do this, why people should support you and how the funds will be used.
  5. Check out the resources available to help you reach your goal by clicking here!  Of course, POBS staff is available to provide tips, ideas and support.

Once you’ve achieved your goal, we’ll schedule your rappel time so you’ll be able to share with friends, family and your club.
