Reflection, Application and Transference

The session supports the SEL areas of self and social awareness by using reflection activities as tools to promote growth along the experiential learning cycle – “so what” and “now what.” Participants will experience and practice activities that invite individual and group reflection and challenges educators, with their student groups, to consider how their time and effort together (as a class, in teambuilding sessions, academic classes, clubs, etc.) helps them to grow as individuals and a group.

Session Objectives:

  1. Review the experiential learning cycle and the steps for reflection and application.
  2. Learn and practice 5-7 reflection activities.
  3. Plan 1-2 ways in which students can participate in the application of learning in the virtual or in-person classroom.
