During the 2024-2025 school year, we served a total of 1,171 9th Grade Academy students from 16 School District of Philadelphia schools (as well as several hundred 9th graders from other schools) through both single-day Insight programs and immersive five-day expeditions, and the results speak volumes. These experiences have:

* Strengthened belonging, trust, and peer relationships in school
* Empowered students to take on challenges and grow socially and emotionally
* Connected students with staff, improving comfort and confidence in the classroom

We’re especially proud of the measurable growth: schools reported improved Philly School Experience Survey scores in belonging, peer conflict resolution, and trust in adults.

Why it matters:
🧭 Transitioning to high school can be tough, but when students tackle challenges together, supported by caring adults and peers, they not only survive, they thrive.
